Final Reflection

1.) I thought it was interesting. I saw a few friends who got their art sold. And it seemed very, like, movie like. Except for the wine. We had apple juice which was way better than wine.

2.) Some obvious advice they should have is, always have your camera. I have seen many objects and what not of things I could have taken pictures of if I had my camera. Another thing is pay a lot of attention to Mrs. Malak's instructions and the printed instructions she makes for you.

3.) This class was awesome. There was always people laughing and doing their work. Every one of these people in this class were humorous and friendly. This class was one of my most enjoyable experiences of the year.

5.) I really enjoy abstracting. It fascinated me. I also liked layering. I have never taken a picture in the way we did this year, but I really enjoyed it. I might take that into my picture taking habits over the years.

6.) I like taking pictures of my cat and random objects that I send to my friend (who I think needs to join this class because she takes awesome pictures) just for fun. And taking pictures with any device I have I do often. I have already taken some of the things I learned in this class to taking silly pictures of random objects and sending them to my friend.

So this week I did mobile usage and how apps are displayed. I show the iPhone 5 next to the Motorola phone to show the difference. My phone is customized though so it is a different way of my apps being displayed. Then on my google search picture, I had my friend search something random and hold it as if she was scrolling to show how teens use there phones now days.

So this week I tried focusing more on the gaming side and the World Wide Web and the famous websites made into apps. My first image is of google. I tried to tell a story with the keyboard while having the search engine in the background. In my second, I start off with Facebook and emphasized the popularity of Facebook by showing the site on android. iOS and the desktop. My third image, which wasn't really about gaming was about the accessories. I don't like it much because I didn't really show the tv how I wanted too, but the camera is there. It's a camera for the playstation 3. It allows us to be the control using the controls. It also has a microphone you can use to talk to people when playing online games. For next week I'm going to try and take even more pictures that have to do with gaming and a bit more of the internet and iOS plus Android.

Here are my final photos. I have a layered and a diptych photo. In my diptych I tried to express the feeling between new technology and old. I took a picture of the mother board in sepia to get like a retro feel. Then I have to more photos from the mother board to show the smilarities of a city. My photo right above this is of Siri. As phones get smarter we are having more personal phones, and siri is an assistant who helps you, like a butler. At some point I may change my ten but for now these are it.

What I did for these pictures, was that I took a part an old computer and took pictures of the mother board in three different ways. I used a bright light bulb and pointed it at the mother board to get that yellowish warm feel. I then took it in sepia and black and white to try and show that it’s old. When I choose one of my photos, I’m going to then go on the futuristic side of this and make a diptych between this two.

These are my three photos I took, and some of my favorite. Here I wanted to begin with the innovation of technology and also future soon technology. Like in my third photo, I tried to show that future technology that is often seen in movies where there is only a display. In my first image I wanted to show the way of playing games and buying them and showing how that will become mainstream in the coming years. The iPad photo is sort of trying to show the unique designs often showed in Apple's products. I am thinking of going to past technologies and the next couple of days to show opposite of this.
